Don't you think that you have to exceed 100,000yen for medical expenses to have refund.

This answer is yes and No. It depends on your total income amount for that year.

In case of your total income for 2024 is more than 2million yen is yes.

If less than the 2million yen,

For example, 1.5million total income: 75,000yen is the limit amount (1.5million x 5%=75,000)

Therefore, if you spent 80,000yen for medical expenses (After reimbursement of insurance etc.)

, you would get 5,000yen back.

80,000ー（1.5million yenx5%) =5,000 yen.
